New name, same plan
For 2026 we’ve updated the names of our plans to make it easier to see how they’re different. Because the former Contribution Plan comes with a health reimbursement account (HRA), it’s now called the Contribution HRA Plan.
Help with medical costs.

Walmart dollars
Each year you get $250
in Walmart dollars for yourself,
or $500 for you and your dependents.

Automatic payment
The plan automatically uses Walmart dollars
to pay for your eligible medical expenses
until those dollars are used up.

Annual rollover
If you have unused Walmart dollars at the end
of the year, they’ll roll over, up to the amount
of your deductible as long as you’re still enrolled
in the Contribution HRA Plan next year.
This plan comes with a special feature: a health reimbursement account (HRA). This gives you access to Walmart dollars to help pay for eligible medical expenses: $250 each year for yourself only or $500 for yourself and your covered dependents. These Walmart dollars are used automatically when you get eligible care: when your provider files a medical claim for you, the amount you’re responsible for will be paid using your available Walmart dollars. There’s nothing you need to do. These payments are also applied to your deductible.
Once you meet your deductible, the plan starts paying up to 75% of eligible costs for most services.
If you have any Walmart dollars left over at the end of the year, they’ll roll over to the next year as long as you’re still enrolled in the Contribution HRA Plan, up to the amount of your plan deductible. But if you switch to another plan or leave the company, you can’t take your Walmart dollars with you.
Associates who work in CA, KY. LA, MS, NJ, TN, WA, WV
If you’re enrolled in the Contribution HRA Plan in one of these states, your plan will be discontinued at the end of 2026. You have until that time to use all your HRA dollars. Any HRA dollars left over on Jan. 1, 2027, will be forfeited.
You get 100% coverage for eligible preventive care when you see providers in your network. Preventive care includes things like annual checkups, vaccinations, mammograms, and other tests to help keep you well.
You can visit IncludedHealth.com/Walmart to find an in-network provider. Or go to DoctorOnDemand.com/WalmartCare to connect with a virtual primary care provider for your preventive health care needs.
You pay the full cost for most other care you receive until you meet your deductible. After that the plan pays up to 75% of eligible in-network costs and 50% of eligible out-of-network costs for most services.
For some serious, complex conditions, Walmart’s Centers of Excellence program gives you access to specialists at some of the best facilities in the country before you meet your deductible. The program covers heart and spine surgeries, knee and hip replacements, medical records review for most cancer diagnoses, transplants, weight loss surgery, and fertility care. Treatment for many conditions comes at no cost to you with the Contribution HRA Plan. This includes travel and lodging for you and a caregiver, if applicable. Visit One.Walmart.com/COE to learn more.
You must use a Walmart or Sam’s Club Pharmacy to fill your prescriptions. These pharmacies offer all generic prescriptions for just $4.
You can also skip the pharmacy and get prescriptions by mail through Walmart Home Delivery Pharmacy. Your cost for a 90-day supply through home delivery is three times the cost of a 30-day supply at the pharmacy. Also, specialty medications are available only through Walmart Specialty Pharmacy.
Getting to a healthier you is easier with your virtual health benefits. You have access to a primary care provider you can see online through Doctor On Demand by Included Health. They can:
- Handle your family’s everyday health needs
- Help you manage chronic conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, and asthma
- Connect you with mental health professionals
- Prescribe some medications with a video visit
You can also use other app-based programs for physical therapy and digestive health support. These virtual services are available at no cost to you with the Contribution HRA Plan.

Your annual deductible is $1,750 for yourself, or $3,500 for yourself and your covered dependents. This is the amount you’ll have to spend each year before the plan starts paying up to 75% of eligible costs. If you cover dependents, all covered participants' expenses combine to help meet the family deductible.
There’s a $300 copay for emergency department services, in addition to your deductible. If you’ve already met the deductible, you’ll just pay the $300 copay in most cases. If you’re transported to the emergency department by ground ambulance, there’s a separate $300 copay in most cases, in addition to your deductible.
