The mental health resources like therapy and mental health coaching provided by Lyra are available starting on day one for Walmart associates and their eligible dependents. Eligible dependents include your spouse/domestic partner, or your children, stepchildren, or foster children under the age of 26. Some additional services require enrollment in a Walmart U.S. medical plan. If you have questions about eligible dependents, chat with a People Services Representative at One.Walmart.com/BenefitsChat or call 1-800-421-1362.
All associates and their eligible dependents now have access to evidence-based care for ADHD and autism, as well as tools for managing issues like sensory overload, executive function, improved focus, or emotional regulation. Most Walmart medical plans also cover neuropsychological assessments through Lyra. Visit Lyra to learn more.
- Care navigation: Connect with a Neurodiversity Navigator through Lyra to help find the right care for you and your family’s needs. These Navigators can support you through the complex journey of diagnosis, treatment, and beyond.
- Caregiver coaching: If you’re a caregiver, you can work with a board-certified behavioral analyst for six to eight coaching sessions to help you better understand and support your child’s unique needs. These count as part of your 20 no-cost mental health sessions per year, and you don’t need an official diagnosis. These specialists can also provide referrals for care and help with school advocacy.
- Neuropsychological assessment: Associates and dependents enrolled in most Walmart U.S. medical plans can access assessment services, subject to your plan’s regular terms and conditions. These include neuropsychological assessments with experts and early screenings for developmental concerns. This is often the first step when you don’t know where to start, especially for children who experience challenges with attention, memory, executive functioning, or social issues.
- With Lyra you can expect shorter wait times and quicker access to care. Your Neurodiversity Navigator will conduct a brief initial screening to see if you meet clinical criteria for a neuropsychological assessment and will help you navigate the process.
All associates and their eligible dependents have access to personalized, confidential treatment to help cut back on or stop using substances like alcohol, nicotine, stimulants, cannabis, and opioids—all as part of your 20 no-cost sessions per year.
A Lyra therapist specially trained in substance use will meet with you one-on-one to build a care plan tailored to your specific needs. A Lyra recovery support specialist will help you stay on track with your plan and lead small-group peer sessions. Lyra can also help you with referrals to outpatient programs, residential treatment, or inpatient care.
If you’re enrolled in a Walmart medical plan you can also talk with a Lyra physician about prescription medication, subject to your plan’s regular terms and conditions.
Associates and eligible dependents enrolled in most Walmart medical plans have access to these mental health benefits through Lyra:
- Covered care. See the same Lyra provider you use for your 20 no-cost mental health visits for covered care under your plan.
- Medication management support. Get help finding the right mental health medication for you. You can meet with a provider online or in person to talk about your treatment options and see if medication is a good fit.
